Keeper is a very happy little boy. He is about 3 years old. He gets along with all the other dogs at home, and loves to play, but is a real snuggle bug too.  He lived with cats, so is good with them.

We were told he is good with Children.  Our experience is that he seems to be good with them. 

At home, he is very responsive, and self-sufficient.  He loves to be outside in the yard.  When he is inside, he is either laying down by your side, or in his bed.  He seems to be very content in whatever home environment he is in.  He does need to learn manners when outside on the leash meeting other dogs, especially large dogs.  Training  time with an experienced trainer for both you and Keeper is recommended.  He needs to learn that he can be safe meeting other dogs, and you will need to learn how to teach him that.  He is apprehensive because he was found running the streets, so has learned very protective behavior when outside of his safe home environment.
